The current Mayor, Peduto is another Democrap/Commie, the worst so far.

Yep. Drilled so deep into Pittsburgher's heads they can scarcely reason politically beyond that. The only time the Republican wins anything around here is when the Democrat running is Cyril Wecht (he's made so many enemies over the years that even most Dem's won't pull the handle for him)

Peduto is a new breed. He represents the Gay/Green/Millenial wing of the Dem Party. The other ones were all old-school machine guys tied to the unions. In a way they were easier to deal with.

The last Republican to win the Mayor’s office in Pittsburgh was in 1929 (Charles Kline). When the Dems won it in 1933, they have held it continuously ever since. The last time there was a “competitive” election was in 1965, and the GOP candidate got only 37.5%.
