WELLINGTON, Fla. – A Florida landscaper who ran over a family of ducks with his riding lawnmower has been sentenced to a year in jail.
A Palm Beach County judge sentenced 24-year-old Jason Scott Falbo II last week after he pleaded guilty to felony animal cruelty charges.
Authorities say Falbo mowed down the ducks May 2 at the home of a family caring for them in Wellington. Police say nine ducklings died, while their mother and two ducklings survived.
The family says the ducklings were just a few days old. Boyd Jentzsch told police his family, including his 7-year-old son, watched from inside their home, screaming as the ducks were run over.
Also last week, Falbo pleaded guilty to domestic battery in an unrelated incident about a month before the duckling deaths.

Chances are that, if they will abuse animals, they will abuse humans as well.
I hope there is more to this story.
However, this is a Florida story, and perhaps face value is all we get.
The guy who did this was a sadist.

His son was seen recently in the neighborhood with a sign “Ducks incarcerated my Father, need money for BB Gun”.
“Jason” has some definite issues with anger, control, abuse, etc. etc..
Animal rightists say those who eat meat are always responsible for killing. They are right.

I bet he wishes that he was treated like an illegal. They’d put him right back on the streets.
My former mother-in-law used to laugh while telling the story about how little Jimmy (my ex) used to stuff baby chicks in a mason jar, or worse, flatten them with a frying pan. I should have taken it as a warning.
They would REALLY get mad if they found out what we used to do with sparrow babies we caught in the barns.
Looks like he already has since he pled guilty to domestic battery a month earlier.
I think we are all fine here at FR with greatly increasing the charges for human abuse and murder. Maybe this can be your life’s calling to make sure its spearheaded and accomplished. At least in the area where you live.
in other words dont drop the charges for animal abuse and sadist’behavior,’up the human charges instead. I think everyone here is for that. Let us know how you do and if there are local FR people near you, contact them and see if they will assist you.
