I think you should find a lawyer who will take your case, give him about
$ 50,000.00 to get the case started and then sit back and watch what happens. You should not tolerate this kind of abuse. Hire a lawyer!
Sounds to me like too much gossip going on at work. I'd avoid it.
On another note, I think you found out the hard way that co-workers are not "friends", they are co-workers. I get along with everybody at work, smile, be professional, joke around but trust no one.
Our motto when I worked in HR "I am a sponge". Meaning of course, I absorb but I do not repeat and I do not give an opinion (as I am doing now lol). Sad to say in our new world, only the allowed opinion matters. It's a crazy world these days.
I can't tell you the number of internal affairs investigations I have transcribed in my career where every keystroke, website accessed and time online not doing business related activities were paraded in front of the person being investigated .... both things like porn and doing business not related to their job to harmless things like checking the weather.
They can drag up EVERYTHING, and will, if they want to get rid of you. You are getting some good advice on this thread. I hope it's not too late but in today's hyper-leftist environment only say and do work-related things at work.
Go NUCLEAR or leave the company.... best bet may be to go nuclear AND leave the company ... lawyer up , threaten a multi-million dollar suit and accept a golden parachute..
I don’t do crazy , you don’t do crazy , apparently THIS company does crazy .. staying on and NOT fighting will end badly.
Seek out the law firms the Catholic Church and/or the crisis pregnancy centers use.
OH ,, save all the e:mails and postings on the subject ,, pro or con ,, save them all ... get a high capacity memory stick and read up on the tutorials for your e:mail client.
If he’s posting his views on Facebook - and if he is they have undoubtedly looked at them - they can’t legally use that against him, right, unless he’s posting his views on company time?
Internal company intranet, not facebook.

NEGATIVE ,, They will fire him without giving ANY stated reason at all... they will certainly NOT mention any of this pink mafia BS ,, they will not willingly give him any ammo. He should NOT be using FB at all at home work or anywhere ... The best move is an attack ... defense sucks when the opponent can hide evidence or deny deny deny ... HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT ... he should have his lawyer contact his HR and demand that they take action... At the same time he should put them on notice that they must retain all records electronic or otherwise.
I put up with this BS years ago ,, racial then , not gender... get what you can with no negative entries on his employment record and escape to a job he creates ... NO BOSS!!!
I’ll check the bottom of my shoe.....hmmm...no lawyer there today....guess you’re out of luck....
No, I understood that. I meant are you also posting your opinions on FB.
It’s times like this, even though the pay isn’t very good, that I am an independent contractor working from home .... FAR FAR AWAY from office politics, PC douchebaggery and co-workers who tattle to HR.
These online discussions are not on Facebook, but on the company’s internal system, where people are actually asking questions like this.
The last corporate job I had the HR director announced she had stage 4 breast cancer... We all met at a local Restaurant and had a party that night... nobody NOBODY gave a dime for flowers or attended her funeral.
These online discussions are not on Facebook, but on the companys internal system, where people are actually asking questions like this.

Is it generally accepted that it’s OK to solicit advice on that system? DOCUMENT IT.
Are you ALSO posting things like what you said on the company intranet on Facebook ?
I take it she was a tyrant?
I’ll give you a little free advice: Shut up! Your employer can fire you for your acts, regardless of the topics discussed. Giving advice to others at work is not your job function. Toss in the politically charged environment of today and you are juggling hand grenades.
“Private discussions that come up”
Those don’t exist at work. EVERYTHING you say or do is company business when on company time.
Yes, but did you check the commode? Any lawyers floating around in there?
No.
