Like I said, if it was just for what he did to those ducks, then it would be over the top. The people feeding them are just as responsible.

They're giving him the max sentence because he's a probation lout and because he's managed to make himself famous as a cruel idiot to the entire Internet. Also, they've got him down for a mandatory psych eval too, so they've got paper started on him for being a dangerous nutcase at only 24 years old. That's exactly the kind of thing this country needs, you know. Might have saved America from at least one mass-shooting.
