I agree.

Here’s where I am:

I am absolutely LOVING what Trump is bringing to the table. I’m LOVING that he’ll say what so many “voiceless” feel. I’m LOVING that he’s bearding the lion and getting all of this poison out on the table and into discussion.

I don’t really believe Trump’s going to be the guy. I’ve got grave doubts about who he really is at his core; what his true beliefs are about immigration, the 2nd amendment...pretty much everything.

Don’t get me wrong: I agree with almost everything he’s saying NOW. And I’m glad he’s saying it.

But even if he’s serious, even if he intends to go the distance...I believe he’s got too much against him to make it. As rich and as powerful and as independent as he is, I think he’s going to be the target of too many other powerful, rich people/organizations.

Although I don’t think he’s the guy...I think he COULD be the guy that finally kicks the damned door open. I think he COULD be the guy that inspires others to go for it. I think he COULD be the first one into the breach, the one that demonstrates the weaknesses of the enemy for others with the lion’s heart.

We’ll see. We’ll see if anyone else picks up the banner if he falls. We’ll see if an army forms around/behind him that will continue to charge.

We’ll see if what he says/does lights the fuses of enough Americans that we learn some stuff.

We seem to forgive/forget with Trump on a LOT of things. I think we do that because he’s finally talking like we want our leaders to do. He’s not doing, yet. He’s just talking. But he’s talking like we want them to do.

And we give him a pass on his past associations, his past words, his past positions because we want so badly to have someone who, at least in the current moment, appears to be in the right, stirring the damned pot up.

We don’t give the same slack to the other candidates. Hell, Trump basically said the same things about the border that Perry did. But Trump gets credit and Perry gets dumped on.

Trump is outrageous...only because it’s so “new” to hear someone calling people out.

Cruz is outrageous! They try to crush Cruz because he’ll say what everybody knows: The leadership is lying to us.

We know this. Cruz and Trump will say it.

By God, we need this type of man! And if Trump showing everyone how to do it is his calling, his mission, his use...then he’s accomplishing it.

I want to see the damn dam break! I want to see more and more people throwing truth grenades! I want to see more and more people being put under the spotlight! I want the corruption exposed and the corrupt destroyed. I want to rip the heart out of the machine that lies to us, taxes us, uses us, despises us, ignores us.

If Trump makes it through the primary, I’ll vote for him.

If Trump burns out or is shot down, I will forever honor his effort.

He is doing what I’ve wanted for decades. I’ve wanted someone to stand up and call everyone out. I’ve wanted a damned gunslinger to walk into the street and call the corrupt out and show them for what they are.

If we can’t find men in politics that will finally accomplish change, then I want a revolution. I want to bring back tarring and feathering. I want to bring back shame and destruction and danger and loss and fear to those who would treat the American people with such despicable disdain.

If Trump, or those who would take up his banner can’t do it, we are on our own. And I would rather see revolution than acquiescence.

[Sorry for the rant]
