It is Time For Mitch McConnell and John Boehner to Resign
http://www.therightscoop.com ^ | 7/27/2015 | Mark Levin

Posted on 07/27/2015 7:34:02 AM PDT by conservativejoy

This morning Mark Levin took to Facebook to call on Mitch McConnell and John Boehner to resign and to push for more courageous Republican leadership led by constitutional conservatives:

It is time for Mitch McConnell and John Boehner to resign for the good of the nation and the Republican Party. The nation and GOP are both suffering as a result of the unwillingness or inability of McConnell and Boehner to effectively defend either. Instead, these politicians are consumed with consolidating their own power on Capitol Hill and silencing opponents who dare to challenge their ironfisted rule. Sadly, they rarely act in the best interests of America’s future.

Indeed, time and again they have delivered victory after victory for Obama and his radical agenda — from spending, borrowing, and Obamacare to illegal immigration, Iran and “trade” power. Never before has a Congress controlled by one party been so thoroughly impotent. This is due to the disastrous leadership of McConnell and Boehner.

It is time for younger, wiser, and more courageous Republican leadership — constitutional conservatives who understand the role of a statesman in perilous times — who are willing to truly lead the nation and the Republican Party based on America’s enlightened principles, advance the cause of liberty and republican government, and make the case everyday to the American people.

Amen. Levin is exactly right and congressmen and senators should rally around this idea

That’s why I say, Trump, warts and all, is better than anything else the GOP has out there with the exception of Cruz.

So true. They are both something that has been lost in America today

“truthtellers”. People may not like their straight talk, and positions, but at least we can understand where they are coming from.

The ‘leadership’ is simply a disaster for GOP, not just for the conservatives.

Our elected representatives must have realized that, yet, they don’t seem too bothered by it. Strange, as if they don’t fear they have to answer to their constituents.

Do the people need any more proof that (1) elections are rigged in their favor; and (2) their only concern is to gain more wealth and power over us?

These old hogs are going to die with their snouts in the K Street lobbyists campaign cash trough. They are worse than the Leftist Democrats who at least have a goal to establish Communism in the USA. Boehner and McConnell have no goals but to hold on to their campaign donors and die in office as multi-millionaires. Shame on the lazy voters in Ohio and KY who return these grifters to DC for decades to the detriment of the nation.

I heard no one seconded Cruz’s amendment requests on Sunday? How the hell could that be? Do you have a play by play? Wasn’t Lee there? Or Rand Paul? WTF, over?!

No matter how much we wish that these two resign, is just that “WISHFUL THINKING”. As long as these REPUBLICAN ELITES are in charge of the senate and congress, we, the people, can wish all we want to, but nothing will happen until we elect people that aren’t beholding to their “CRONY CAPITALISTS”. As far as these people are concerned, they owe their position to their “CRONIES” on “K” street, not the people that elected them. You’ll be surprised on how much money exchanges hands, every day in Washington DC.

Boehner will have to be taken out 2016. He likes his wine, women and power too much.

McConnell should retire with his buddy Reid but he won’t.

Harry Reid was a publicly exposed liar for years and look how long he hung on. Apparently, lying to the American public has become the "new normal" by both parties in leadership in Washington DC since that lying Kenyan, Hussein, was foisted upon our nation in 2008.

Look what just happened over the weekend to Cruz and Lee for exposing McConnell's lies. Short of being strung up by their fingernails and tortured, they were chastised, excoriated and banned to the back of the class for standing up to our corrupt, unethical, lying leadership in the Senate. Created too many waves for the GOP establishment types.

Don't expect too many others to volunteer to walk the gang plank by speaking up and challenging their leaders, if this is the kind of treatment they have to look forward to. I'm just sayin'....

Mitch has been exposed to be a liar. How can he be the party leader in the senate?

By officially changing parties

What is the cheap labor express? People who get paid less than minimum wage?

I think they sense it and are reveling in it because they’ve pulled off a long con. Progressives control both parties.

Cruz is right to call McConnell out. The only cure for corruption is sunlight.

Please call Ted Cruz office - any one of them. Leave a short message of encouragement.
I have done this. Called Houston office, Left Message also at the DC office.
Ted Cruz office in DC 202-224-5922

Also, call Orin Hatch, Lamar Alexander, et al. Call the RNC and tell them they better knock this off. There are MILLIONS of us out here that have had it with the GOP.

Let’s remind ourselves also that Boo Hoo and no Chin Mitch probably were PART of the reason the IRS went after conservatives illegally. They wanted to “crush” the so called Tea Party. Remember that little ditty?

There was a motion to vote, and a second for that. Cruz, I think, moved that the vote be a roll call vote. That takes 2/5th of the senator’s to second, otherwise the vote is a voice vote (yell “Aye” or “Nay” on cue). A voice vote was conducted. Smae with Mike Lee’s proposed amendment. Chair ruled it out of order, Lee appealed the ruling, the senate MUST vote on that appeal (without debate). No roll call vote becusae fewer than 2/5th of the Senate agreed to a roll call. There was a voice vote. All that happens in the space of less than a minute.

Unfortunately, resigning is the only way to root them out.
And that won’t happen.

It is obvious the ballot box method isn’t working, and house conservatives
are too afraid to call for an emergency leadership election.

Archaic. And FWIW, I wish our senators could belittle each other like Brits.... It also shows the spinelessness of a the Rs in the chamber. (or, devil’s advocate, shows Cruz bit off too much... So what kind of stink can RP pull now? WIth his PP defunding vehicle?)

The amendment can be offered against every bill that comes up. It gets a new amendment number, but nothing else changes. That's common. Doesn't mean the Senate takes it up, but the proponent can claim personal dedication to the cause.
