It seems like Trump is well to the right of the GOP on securing the border. They have had their chances multiple times and squandered them.

Since the GOP leadership can’t be trusted and basically provides cover the rest of the GOP to betray their constituents (read Cruz’s book), the people are flocking to an outsider.

For many, the border is the number one issue. It’s tough to trust anyone on this issue who is close to those who consistently want to put illegals above citizens.

That basically leaves Cruz and Trump.

I’m not necessarily arguing with you, but that’s how I see it.

yes, Trump is well right of the GOP e on the border. He’s not as far right as you think on some issues related to immigration.....but he is to the right on some issues and certainly more manly in his tone. All of that is good.

But he’s way left of the GOP e on some things. He was left of Mitt on immigration as recently as 2012. These things should be concerning to all of us.
