Trump is standing up for America’s borders, and Trump if for building up American manufacturing once again.

Both are huge issues.

I understand you guys are trying to portray Donald Trump as something you can run against. But he’s for two huge issues I am 100% supportive of him on, and only Ted Cruz is with him on the issue of immigration.

He seems to be the only one saying we need to re-industrialize America.

The only one. Anywhere.

I like Trump's recent statements on the border and making America great again. Like I said, he's been really good on those two things, he's also showed an ability to stand up to the media and leftist criticism that would have withered most other candidates.

That being said, you shouldn't ignore the signs that show us he's NOT a strong conservative.

We'll see how this plays out, but please don't defend the indefensible. In that CEW was very correct.

I could be wrong, but, I think Trump was referring to the bail outs that Bush authorized. I believe that was his point. This is just my opinion, of course.

Who’s more likely to bring down a lot of establishment pols who deserve it? Walker or Trump? Walker has never been on the national stage. It makes no sense to support him until we see how he does in the primary.

“That being said, you shouldn’t ignore the signs that show us he’s NOT a strong conservative.”

There not just signs, he has flatly said the conservatives will have to get over it on issues like health care i.e. replace Ocare but with something that is not just everyone for themselves. I suspect he feels the same on other issues. Has anyone heard about 2A yet? That said, I like what he is doing. He has smoked out the DC crowd. Note that Cruz is with him on that 100%. Taking back the country begins with taking back this party, even if we have to take it back just 50% for the time being. Letting it back into the clutches of the Bush and DC crowd again is a death nell for the country. Face it, we are not going to get any one candidate who goes for everyone of our issues. Mine are immigration, 2A, Ocare, trade, military, fags and the welfare state. I know Trump is with me on 5 and a half of these so I am not all in for him yet. Cruz is right there with him.

I don’t know how accurate this is. It claims New Hampshire roads are better than Massachusetts roads. When I lived there 15 years ago, you could always define the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border without reading the signs, because the roads suddenly seemed like they hadn’t been paved in 50 years. Of course, that was 15 years ago, and a smooth pave-over doesn’t really say all that much about the general health of the roadway compared to say, ageing and decrepit bridges.

But in 2014, Reason published a list of the relative health of states’ roads.

But if Trump brings down the establishment, and then governs to the LEFT of the establishment (which he clearly would on some issues) - then what have you gained? Can you not see that he’s TO THE LEFT of the estabs in many cases?????

No, you cannot. You will not.

Just how good is Walker’s economic record, BTW? Even conservative websites give it a down the middle rating. Seems a lot of his success has been political battles (unions). But hasn’t resulted in a great economic success story. Or it doesn’t seem that way.

I agree with your post.

I just can't get on the Trump train at this point. I like what he's done for the race, just don't trust the guy.

I still hope Cruz will be able to take off, even though I think his immigration stance should be stronger.

First, does not excuse any Republican who attacks from the leftist mind set.....which Trump did.....and then there's the fact that Wisconsin is still part of Obama's America, and there's only so much a state government can do. His weakening of the unions has been terrific, and is teachable for all conservatives. When Trump attacked Walker's reforms, Trump was being a union thug.

He has been wrong about this from the beginning and yet we are told, by his supporters, how GREAT he is on the economy. If he doesn’t know this, it calls that “greatness” into question.

While I might not agree with Walker on everything, he has been a solid governor. Trump needs to attack Jeb and Hillary more...he is proving who he is everyday

right, or go to the right of Walker on immigration....but NOT to the left on unions......or to the left on the econ crash.

Geez, what is it with you all and the blind support and talking points?

There is more to what is going on than American jobs and he isn’t the only one talking about it.

HOW is he going to bring back American jobs? He says he opposes O-care but likes Single payer? He talks about illegals hurting American jobs, but is wobbly on amnesty (or the good hard working ones staying here).

Come on....seriously, CNN? Give us something better than the “Trump is the only one who....”...because he is not.

That is pure BS. Cruz doesn’t agree with Trump 100%. What Cruz agrees with Trump about is taking on the establishment and his views on things like immigration (since Trump copied Cruz on those).

Cruz disagreed with him on McCain (until Trump flip-flopped on it) and Cruz has stark policy differences from Trump on other issues as well. He just isn’t going to bad mouth Trump.
