The problem is that you will have a large portion of people who hate Hillary and see Jeb or whomever as the better alternative, while others, more Conservative, see Trump as such. Thus, if Hillary starts out with 47% of the vote, the rest of the vote will be split.

Now, let’s say someone like Walker or Cruz is the nominee...do you all still think Trump should jump to indy?
And why would Trump do that?
Hillary will not get 47% of the vote if Trump is in the race.
Walker seems to have all the right gears moving, but I think he has significant national disadvantages: 1) he isn't a celebrity, and we are definitely in the celebrity age; 2) his battles against the unions were epic, but he has yet to expand that concept and explain why we need to crush the unions nationally and what it means for good government, immigration and everything else.
Cruz is at 4%.
