He keeps flipping on this issue, RKBA. Why?
This will just enhance the idea that Trump is only in it for Trump. He knows if he runs 3rd party, he will give the nomination to Hillary.
The GOP knows this as well...unless they are supremely confident that their candidate will win regardless and that Hillary is so bad, it won’t matter.
Glad to have you back on board. Any other questions?
Good morning! No questions from me. I can see you’re having another heated debate.
As for Trump, I think he’d be smart to keep the second party thing on the table and return to it periodically. This guy is a negotiator, he realizes he isn’t the chosen one per the gop leadership and that they’ll do everything they can to stop him. So he basically says, if you don’t play fair, I’ll ensure that your chosen candidate loses anyway. No reason for him to go second party while he’s winning, but as we all know, the gop is capable of endless shenanigans.
Where I think that strategy isn’t so good is where it assumes that the gop cares about winning. They’d be perfectly happy if hildabeast won. She’s another crony for the uniparty. Where things start getting uncomfortable for the gop faction of the uniparty is when the same outsider dynamic takes hold in the rats. Hildabeast is having problems and might not close the deal. That leaves the gop faction of the uniparty in a double bind; sanders on the left and Trump on the right. Neither are friendly to their interests.
As for Trump being for Trump, how is that different for any other politician? Politicians are for themselves primarily, and everything else secondarily. And I pointedly include Ted Cruz in that observation as well. He hasn’t exactly hurt his future career prospects by becoming a senator and presidential candidate.
