Maybe I’d rather have someone with executive experience. Maybe I want someone who has the best chance of winning the general.
Maybe you should not be lecturing others because we have different opinions.
Maybe I think a President that’s actually “Conservative” beats out Executive Experinece which is overrated because it isn’t rocket science to lead when you know what the right thing to do is. Look at Obama, he had no Executive Experience whatsoevver and has yet succeeded beyond his wildest dreams of destroying the country and dismantling the Constitution. Do you think a stint as Gov of IL before he took office would have changed that? I don’t think so.
Maybe I understand and recognize the factors that led to Reagan’s two landslides and that Cruz is doing everything he can to replicate those factors (touching the grassroots/base personally, money hauls, communicating conservatism without watering it down in an articulate manner, bypassing the media to get the message out, taking the enemy head on via debates and winning, and most importantly, he’s not just trying to win the supposed “Reagan Democrats”, he’s trying to create more of them from the far leftists).
If Cruz is nominated, he will easily win the General Election. He will win every contested battleground state and could very well become the first Republican to win PA since Reagan. He will make ME and OR competitive and the Democrats victories in NY and CA may be barely double-digits or even less.
Cruz is clearly the top choice and it isn’t even close.
My suggestion is if you are really a true conservative, you should change your opinion to support Cruz as your #1 if it isn’t already. But if you don’t care about saving the country from the brink, by all means support a weaker candidate that will disappoint.
