My dad loved this symphony. He owned more than one copy - at least two, one conducted by Bernstein and the other by Otto Klemperer. I think he even dubbed one LP to cassette, just so he could quickly switch back and forth between the two conductors' versions to better hear the differences.

Dad tried to get me to listen to the variations, but at the time I wasn't interested if it didn't feature an electric guitar. Now I wish I'd paid attention.
