Here's how it would work: Wearing a headset similar to Google Glass, you will be able to record audio and video using a mounted camera. You could set the camera to record constantly, you could turn it on or off with a command, or you could set it to automatically start and stop recording during a set period of time or when you are at a particular location.
As the video gets uploaded to Google's servers, you'd be able to go back and "Google" your own memories.
To trigger memories, customers would ask Google questions like, "What were the paintings I saw when I was on vacation in Paris?" or "How many books did I read in May?"
...
According to the patent, Google would let you choose people to share memories with. Each memory snippet will be indexed with a time stamp and a location tag.

I already do that. I have a headset called a brain. And it’s free from Google’s grasp.
Google?
Bwahahahahaa!
Society isn’t ready for this yet, I think.
We have become accustomed to cameras everywhere, and we don’t think twice about people capturing our image as we go about our daily business. However, when people strap an always-on camera to their head, it has an effect on social interaction, because people assess that differently than a security camera or traffic camera that just happens to photograph them. We saw that with the incident of the Google Glass tester who wore one to a bar and nearly started a riot, and that was an extreme case.
I know, for example, that if one of my friends showed up to a party wearing one of these, I would move to the other side of the party, or just leave, and that is if the person was my friend.
Cool! Now we’ll have selfies with a story.
LOL!
...and pretty much wearing out that portion of the tape.
It's a good thing I was young. I woulda would up like this guy:
If external devices start taking over long term memory functions, won’t that ability in humans start to atrophy as in basic arithmetic skills following the introduction of calculators?
1. “you could turn it on or off with a command,”
2. “As the video gets uploaded to Google’s servers”
3. “To trigger memories, customers would ask Google
questions like, “What were the paintings I saw when I was on vacation in Paris?” or “How many books did I read in May?”
1. So could someone else.
2. I’m sure they “misspoke” and really meant Google and
and every other government server on the planet.
3. Honestly this sounds like Google is toying with some serious
AI here. Building a computer conscience?
“Google ....Why did I walk into this room?”
Not a bad film overall, actually.
I need that one!
