Nothing ... no matter how ludicrous it sounds ... surprises me about the rationality of the GOPEs. After all, they honestly, truly believe they can win a national election — any national election — by abandoning the conservative base and replacing it with Hispanic votes and with other traditional Democrat-voting blocs who the GOPEs think will rally around a RINO candidate.
The gopE really is confused. They don’t want to talk about Trump because it gives him more publicity. But they just can’t help themselves so they have to try sound smart so they say something slanderous. This gives Trump a valid reason to show how stupid they are. The only one left standing will be Cruz.
This reminds me of Bush I. He refused to say Pat Buchanan’s name. Eventually he had to recognize him.
