BTW...if you are correct and God created this universe for the sole purpose of mankind......we should get busy exploring his creation.

Either way.....we need to move beyond our own star system to fulfill our destiny.

The universe awaits.

And do *what* to it? Under our current nature, I'm quite happy that we appear to be under some form of quarantine. Once the plan of redemption is completed, then, and only then, will He permit us to explore His creation.

For what it's worth, there was a time when I expressed the same sentiments you just did, but He showed me why it was not possible at this current juncture. It was a very difficult thing for me to accept at first, but His continued revelations showed me His wisdom in separating us from the rest of His creation, and I accept that now is *not* the time and season for such a thing...

I’m game. But there are some BIG problems do doing that. The same problems that any other civilization out there would face.

Given the age of the cosmos, they’d have had the same amount of time to get to where they are. Which is a good indicator of why we haven’t heard each other.

My own suspicion is that in this galaxy, civilizations - if they’re there - are spread pretty thin. And if they’re in another galaxy, we’ll never know of them, nor they of us.

Thus Fermi’s question.
