Just read a very interesting article from an author regarding the United States in biblical prophecy.
The article is long but I'll sum up his claims this way.
He claims that the United States is actually the 'Israel' mentioned in the Bible. And that modern day Israel should actually be known as Judah.
If his claims are correct this would change the way we view prophecy as well.
Especially Russia's invasion. This would mean Russia would invade modern day United States, not Israel.
Ezekiel 38:17 states that the Gog-Magog prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 has parallel biblical prophecies about this same event which were written before Ezekiels time. One of the other prophecies about this great attack against the people of Israel in the latter days is found in Joel 2. Joel 2:1 states its prophecy will be fulfilled in the Day of the Lord, another biblical phrase about the latter-days which will climax our current age. It foretells a great war and climactic signs in the heavens (verse 10). Joel 2:17 calls for Gods people to pray to God fervently for deliverance from an invading army which will attack from the north (a theme paralleling Ezekiel 38:15-16). Like Ezekiel 38, Joel 2:27 identifies the people being invaded from the north in the latter days as Israel (the name placed on the nation and company of nations of Manasseh and Ephraim). Clearly, Ezekiel 38 and Joel 2 are parallel prophecies which both prophesy about a major invasion of Israel from the north in the latter-days. Notice another item in verse 20.
I have attached the article for a further look.
It is a very good book. I have a hard copy and the Kindle version.
Correct
House of Judah
House of Israel/Joseph/Ephraim
Ezekiel doesn't get them mixed up; neither does Hosea. Nor Jeremiah. And they were writing of the latter days.
America is a nation of immigrants, gathered out of the nations, meaning those with that American spirit (think children of Sarah, the freewoman) arrived to become Americans.
"America" is an idea. Those immigrants came to make it official, yet in spirit they were already Americans. Obama and his ilk lie while importing invaders who are sons of the bondwoman, as if all immigrants are equal.
These spiritual concepts can be understood plainly. Oil and water don't mix.
Genesis 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
Genesis 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
The Northern tribes were prophesied to forget their own identity and to be lost to history, but were spoken of by the prophets as being a nation [in the latter days] with its own identity [apart the House of Judah].
Too bad the burning and falling of the twin towers [into a "double ash heap"] didn't drop a hint.
Well, there's this:
Sept 19, 2001:
I agree
[Its chief representatives today are connected with remnants of Herbert Armstrongâs Worldwide Church of God.]
Yes, you can see this with “Tomorrow’s World” on TV. They make a few references to HWA.
yep
The House of Israel didn’t replace the House of Judah.
I’ve noticed over the years that those claiming “replacement theology” when any discussion of the Northern Tribes appears, are often the same folks who have lumped in the House of Israel with the House of Judah; i.e. say that the House of Judah replaced or absorbed the Northern Tribes. Nevermind that the prophets kept them separate and distinct and furthermore described a reunification of the two in the end of days.
Bad ‘prophecy’ teacher Jack van Impe had Russian missiles coming over the North Pole as an “invasion from the north”.
He still puts out a mixed bag of nonsense. Mostly nonsense especially with a denominational twist. About 15% to 25% on a good day is about all that’s valid.
Sometimes they have good news articles. After that.....it’s pretty difficult to watch.
Well, there was Joseph Smith and his followers having Jesus as Adam returning to Adam-Ondi-Ahman up near Gallatin, Missouri, Jesus returning to Independence, Missouri and some holding Salt Lake City as a city of significance. And since there was no real ‘Nauvoo’ they created one in Illinois. Technically, I guess the Mormons bought it and renamed it.
(speaking of false prophecies attributed to America)
The author is a Mormon or RLDS (they have a new name). He certainly pushes the ‘Jesus in America’ nonsense.
Herbert W. Armstrong’s followers.
No, thank you.
Nor Ervin Baxter.
Nor the JWs, either.
Happy trails.
Sorry Friend,
I’m not buying replacement theology. Those scriptures were given to that specific prophet for that generation of backslid Jews. God is not through with Israel by a long shot. Centuries after that condemnatiin was given to THOSE backslid Jews, Christ our Savior and Lord was born to another generation of Jews, who weren’t much more receptive than the earlier ones.
The cherry on top is that one day soon Christ will come back and present Himself to Israel, and they will realize they’d crucified their Messiah away back when; and the whole nation will be Saved in one day.
Don’t pester me any more. I got saved on August 18, 1962. So I’ve heard all the nonsense that you folks are peddling. I will not reply to you again. Just give your heart to Christ and receive Him as your Savior. Christ is a Jew, and He is not about to abandon His chosen people. During the Millennium His World Headquarters will be centered over Jerusalem.
Goodbye.
