A driver accidentally hit the accelerator on his Tesla Thursday night, and plowed into a mom-and-pop liquor store in Sunnyvale.
The crash occurred about 9 p.m. at Liquor and Food Mart at 163 E. Fremont Ave.
The driver, who didnt want to be identified, told NBC Bay Area that he thought he was hitting the brake when he instead revved up, smashing into the glass panes of the store.
The store owner's son, Jason Matthew, told NBC Bay Area theyd be closed "indefinately" because of the structural damage to the building."To see so much carnage and damage is heartwrenching," he said.
There was no immediate word on whether there would be any fines or arrests.
“There’s two of us. We can handle this. Let’s turn off spell-check. Woohoo!”
SLIGHT correction:
Sounds like one of those drivers in their 80’s in their Audi
I once walked past a spot where mere seconds later someone drove into thefront window of a supermarket...
Divine providence!
Just shocked it wasn’t an SUV.

Never would have happened if it was a Ford...
Wondering if any of those booze bottles were your relatives?
How do you “Rev Up” a Tesla?
They should just make it a drive thru.. lots more Teslas on the road these days.
Nope
Would have been Found On the Road Dead....
Howdy stranger. F%&k you, too.
1) You're unaware that "Talisker" is a brand of Scotch Whisky. (Good stuff, BTW ... Be a shame to have a bunch of it trashed like this ...)
2) You're aware of it, and you're lacking in the humor department.
I don't apologize for the joke.
I don't apologize for mine, either.
