Adobe Flash, the much-loathed, bug-plagued relic of a browser plugin, just got a big nail driven into its coffin.
Mozilla blocked Flash by default in its Firefox browser late Monday night, a day after Facebook's (FB, Tech30) security chief called for Adobe to kill Flash once and for all.

Youtube has been on a multi-year project to transcode all of their videos to non-Flash format. They have an opt-in page. It's time to freeze Flash out!

Is Flash the culprit of the dreaded green screen when I play a video? I go through the steps of fixing this, then if I update anything at all on my computer, I go back to the dang green screen.
Thanks. Turns out that it’s a bug in Flash that is affecting IE, corporate wide. They’re doing some patch right now. For the short term we are being encouraged to used Firefox or Chrome.
