Windows 8? How about 8.1 which I was forced to accept one day as there was no way out without throwing my PC away and buying another one. I wish I had 8 back!!

I got a gaming laptop as a substitute for building a new desktop (getting lazy, I guess), and it came with 8.1.

I have to tell you, for the first couple days, I hated it, but once I figured out the short cuts, it was really OK. The big thing wasn’t that I got to like the tiles—I ignore them—or the silly program menu—I don’t much care for that either. But, it is rock stable, and to me—an intermediate user—seems to have much better tools built in for checking processes and usage than win 7 did.

I hope that in addition to improving the interface on Win 10, they don’t spend so much time trying to get the “work everywhere” guts in line that they compromise the stability.
