Frankly, what was wrong with 3.1? And why do they feel the need to throw out one version just to rewrite another? Just tweak the one that works.

98 worked well. XP worked well. ME was a joke. Vista was, to me, useless after XP. Now I have hard drive and mother board issues on my machines and I know I’ll have to upgrade and I dread it. Will have to spend another 6 months just trying to change the settings back to the way I like them.

I also hate the way they force you onto new OS just to support IE. Thus, right now, I’m stuck on IE9 and this old Vista OS won’t let me go up to 11. Many websites don’t support IE9 now.

And I hate Apple. Heck, I’m sick of the hardware manufacturers. Had IBM, sucked and died. Had Dell, ditto. HP - machines lasted about 3 years and had problems. At least I never tried Gateway! lol

Lol....if it were only that simple.. Beginning with win 8, MS is going in the direction you would like, however the issues with MS are 99% connected to their trying to satisfy everyone who runs older programs designed for windows. If I am right, those days may be coming to a end..
