All of those safety regulations on the gas cans? And I think put the last US company out of business (Blitz)? One of the lawsuits was from the family of a guy that poured gas from the can into his potbelly stove while it was already going - inside his house. (BOOM!) They won.

“Can’t legislate against stupidity.”

Unfortunately, there are more and more stupid people and the politicians keep trying.

I believe that this person meets the criteria for the Darwin Award. I salute him - it’s much more considerate than the idiots that leave their children and other responsibilities behind or injure/kill others in the inevitable process.

Democratic Rep. Michel Lajoie, a retired fire chief from Lewiston who has pushed to repeal Maine’s fireworks law in the past... They’re going to say, ‘Well, you can’t regulate stupidity’ ... and it’s true, you can’t. But the fact of the matter is you have to try something,” Lajoie said. “I’m not giving up.”

I’ll take “Cut their hands off” for $500. We have to try something. Don’t we? It’s for the chi’ren

Can’t legislate against stupidity.

But they try as long as they don't affect their biggest potential audience...

I'm waiting for them to demand that the word "lisp" be changed because of the "s"-problem that only exacerbates the shame that lispers of the world feel.

Maybe the "Mom" should ask someone if she feels like a failure for raising such an idiot of a son.
