Drudge has photo of enraged open-mouthed Greeks - What does it all mean?
Drudge Report ^

Posted on 07/05/2015 1:25:08 PM PDT by SamAdams76

Apparently there was a "referendum" in Greece and the results are surprising. The Greeks rejected some sort of measure to impose "austerity" in exchange for EU bailout.

It is being seen as a "shocking rebuff" to the European leaders and the Euro is taking a tumble on the markets.

Drudge says "EU on brink." Others say Greece is a "beleaguered country."

Is this what happens when socialism runs out of "other people's money."

I must regret to say I have not been following this story as much as I should have on account of the summer routine. So I'm hoping that some more astute Freepers will fill me in on whether or not we in the United States should worry.

I do know one thing. I'm buying my olive oil from domestic sources. I used to get olive oil from Greece but no more.

What else does Greece export to the United States besides olive oil? Other than short politicians with garlic breath who are for big socialist government (i.e. Mike Dukakis).

Come to think of it, Aliens probably did crash in Roswell and the liberals couldn’t figure out how to profit from it. Thus the coverup ;)

Hahahah. So they wasted money to have a vote on something, where the outcome of the vote has no force.

The Greek thing isn’t good for the market, but stocks will only be down 1-2% as much of this was already built in. HOWEVER, China stocks are taking it in the @$$ bigtime due to their own problems.

Together? China and Greece! I don’t know. Seriously. Market could be down 10% next week.

It seems incredible to me but some people do not seem to understand that paper money (or numbers in a computer) does not equal to real wealth. I have actually had someone say to me that it does not matter that taxes paid by Americans don’t come even close to covering all the bills because, “Don’t let them kid you, the government has plenty of money, all they have to do is print it.” Apparently Greece has some idiots of the same sort.

I watched a video the other night. Dozens of folks landing on some island....walking up on the beach....and Greeks basically don’t do anything. Greeks won’t feed them, cloth them, or provide anything. The immigrants are standing there and thinking....typically....you’d have some folks giving you stuff as you arrive (like Italy does). Well...Greeks aren’t doing anything and the immigrants are thinking....well...it’s best to keep going because this won’t work here.

Look for things to get ugly for those who are not native Greeks and looking for welfare. If Greek pensioners are not getting their money, they will not look kindly on foreign moochers.

I’m glad to see it. Actions haZ consequences. About time the world rediscovered that fundamental truth.

That being said none of the people in the picture look they are emaciated and hungry. Coming to a country where you live.

I just want to be fat and happy.

Actually, on second thought, Greeks remind me of a country full of Mexicans.

Oops, hope I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings.
