A bit sad, a week ago I went to a memorial service for a neighbor. The good part, she lived to be 104 years old.
She had an interesting story at her 100th party. Her husband was a Marine attached to the USS Arizona battleship at Pearl Harbor, and she was visiting him on the day the Japanese attacked.
The USS Arizona was sunk by a bomb that hit the area of the ship that the Marines were quartered in. He survived the attack solely because his wife was visiting and they were in a hotel overlooking the base..
