Where's the father in all of this?

Much ado being made about the "unwed mother" being promiscuous and all. But what about the father?

I thought this Bristol was about to marry a U.S. Marine. But then it fell through.

So what of this U.S. Marine? War hero?

I was a U.S. Marine and when I was in, we believed in honor and standing up for what is right. What is not right is fathering a child and then disappearing while the mother is left to take all the heat.

Now perhaps this Marine is not the father of the child and perhaps this is why the wedding fell apart. But if so, the Marine should stand up and say "I am not the father" and call out the actual father to come take some responsibility here.
