As my mother got older, she became more and more liberal. Jimmy Carter was always her hero, up until she died three years ago. Despite her liberalism, she was always against the illegals.

So, I’m not surprised that other hard liberals support Trump on illegal immigration.

For years, I’ve been saying that taking a stand against illegals was a winning position in the elections. But the leaders of both parties have always tried to surpress the debate. I’m glad to see Trump making it a big issue.

At one time, in the not so distant past, liberals believed that illegals were the salvation of social security. The theory was that they would come here to work in their productive years and pay into it, then go home in their retirement years and never collect.

The actual behavior since has shown that they not only have zero intentions of ever going home, but they want to bring in their extended families now, meaning the socialist Utopian wet dream will collapse sooner rather than later.
