Why don’t all of these bakeries simply say, “We’re a bakery. We bake and frost your cake. If you want custom decorations, please go to a decorator or do it yourself.”
Could save a lot of trauma.
Well, what does that say about the average Walmart employee or its shoppers in general? Not a slam against anyone..I shop Walmart, but do not go there for intellectual or political edification.
walmart ... setting priorities straight ... for America!
Some of my classmates moved to Slidell from New Orleans after Katrina. That is why I tend to agree with you. However, I still hate Wal-Mart for their anti-Confederate flag issue.
Wal-mart has become an embarrassing joke. That’s what happens when you allow your corporate policies to turn you into a leftist whore. I do not love using that term (better than some alternatives) but there is really no clearer way to say it.
I am sure each Walmart is different and its employees a reflection of their regional location. But policies such as this one come from corporate. After daddy died, the kiddies have no rudder. They are trying to stick to daddy’s policies without understanding them from within. Nothing ever works that way.
Someone needs to ask the New Orleans Walmart if they will decorate a cake with a Pan-African flag; and will they deliver it to the Howard Johnson’s hotel?

Who provided the design, the customer or a Walmart employee?
A comment on a local article about this claims the man should apologize to Walmart for setting them up.
I pointed out this is what happens when knee jerk political correctness runs amok
