Not being snarky, but I just learned a new term on FR:
“Blogger doom porn”
Not saying that’s what you’ve written on SCOTUS & the right to bear arms. But you are suggesting that SCOTUS no longer is bound by checks & balances or separation of powers, and is now inclined to truly “legislate from the bench” as a result of the implications of these two recent decisions?
If so, I’m doom-scared. Should point out it’s not the first time America has faced a rogue Supreme Court. Earl Warren, anyone?
Real question: Anthony Kennedy is no longer a swing vote, he’s now part of the liberal majority, true?
He always has been. So is Roberts.
Frankly, I was surprised that he dissented from the unconstitutional legislating of marriage from the USSC.
I assume they have something pretty heavy on him and that made it all that much easier to twist the language and the law into knots to uphold the socialized medicine law.
I’m also thinking that the left knew they had the votes for the Destruction of Marriage ruling and that they let him dissent as part of the deal for him supporting the mandate that we all have health insurance or can be punished.
You might say that Kennedy is part of the swinger vote now.
