I got on the Massachusetts Turnpike and was immediately passed by some fool going over 100 mph and he was closely followed by another car at the same speed. Knowing my Massachusetts drivers, what was happening was the second car was playing cop by chasing the other guy because he was going to fast.

As someone who learned to drive in Boston, I think you may have misinterpreted the situation. I never encountered anyone "playing cop". The second driver was more likely following closely and perhaps blinking his lights at the first driver in order to get him to move to the right lane so he could be passed. There is no speed that is "fast enough" on I-90 (or the Autobahn). If you aren't in the process of overtaking another driver, you should be in the right-most lane.

Well yes, but, that’s exactly like a cop. One is always supposed to pull over for a cop. In MA, pretending you are one can accomplish the same affect. :-)

You “learned to drive in Boston”? Please. :-) Now perhaps if you said you learned how not to drive in Boston, that might be something I could support. :-)

I actually learned how to drive on my trip across country. I learned that some places police actually do enforce the traffic laws. For instance, in CA you are required to stop as soon as a pedestrian steps off the curb. Such was unheard of at the time in MA. Also, CA had these 4 way intersections with stop signs at each crossing. Right of way law prevailed which said the first to stop is the first to go. Never a problem. It worked very well and people got thru quickly and easily. This of course would create chaos in MA. Talk about road rage.
