I wasn't referring specifically to Trump when I said ‘non-politician’, and he's not my ideal candidate, but what I mean by ‘non-politician’ is someone who doesn't have a track record of spending most of their adult life chasing/holding political office (i.e. a career politician). Career politicians will generally do or say whatever is necessary to whomever they need to say it in order to gain/stay in office. That's a recipe for disaster.

Even though my comments were made in the context of this thread on Trump, they were meant to be general. To be honest, I don't know much about him, other than he's a billionaire with a high-profile public life.

Nobody does that more than Donald Trump, notice that his supporters explain everything away, from his being a democrat, to giving most of his money to democrats and the democratic party, to Bill Clinton being his favorite president, to his voting for Obama, and loving Bloomberg, and Al Gore, etc. to Trumps willingness to do and say anything to make him popular or richer.

Trump is a shallow 69 year old real estate hustler, that took his 200 million dollar inheritance and made more, and then became a TV celebrity.

He is as fake and dishonest as they come.
