Gambling was against the rules? Big, fat, hairy deal.
I'll never visit Cooperstown until MLB ends its vendetta against Pete Rose. The Baseball Hall of Fame has no legitimacy without Pete Rose as a member.
It's been long enough, and the hysterical bleating of the naive and mean-spirited purists has grown tiresome.
I guess these guys who juiced with steroids during the last 20 years belong in the HOF, because technically PED's weren't "against the rules" during that era?
Baseball is diminished without the presence of Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame. Period.
Proudly and Sincerely,
Pete Rose Apologist
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Pete shouldn’t be eligible for the HOF until he has served his lifetime ban.
And if it is true that he bet on the games AS A PLAYER, then he should not be eligible for the HOF until Shoeless Joe Jackson is eligible.
