It all depends on how you define “faith,” of course. There is the danger that saying “faith alone” can lead people to believe it is only an intellectual assent to a set of ideas that is necessary.

Which is why we avoid it, usually. It all comes from grace. Grace transforms us. Grace animates our faith. Grace empowers our works.

Grace is varied, God is free to grace us as he sees fit...not all grace results in faith..but when he give us faith that all changes.

SrB often expounds on the word love...it’s a noun, yet a verb and it must be both to be love. I feel the same way about faith. Noun and verb, must be both. Only if our good deeds are done through our faith in Jesus are we doing God’s work, thus our faith is now an action....and alive.

Egads, this is getting deep. I merely wished to point out some Catholics who have not read their Bibles or thought this through. How can you not know WHO Paul is?
