I don’t know. Choked short putts almost always miss to the right. His missed left. I’ve looked at a few replays and I saw nothing unusual with the stroke.
I don’t think it was a green issue for Johnson on 18.
Compare his birdie putt on 17 with the miss on 18, I thought his left shoulder lifted slightly on 18 while remaining still on 17. That slight movement pulled the ball left.
