This feral gray and brown tom showed up at our ranch one morning. Couldn’t get within ten feet of the little bas___d.
To smart to trap, a good mouser, so he stayed.

When it was time for all the dogs and cats to get their shots, we tried to capture “Bandit” as we called him now.

Myself and two of the ranch hands tried to catch him with fishing nets and he tore them apart, headed for the wood shed and hid in a pile of firewood. We started to lower the stack and one of he boys got nailed with a lightning strike with claws. We got the leather welding gloves, grabbed Bandit and stuffed him into a cage as he bit through
the glove to bite his hand.

We got to the vets, got all the kids inside, and then told
the vet that Bandit was a very special cat, wild, feral, and
totally destructive, hated humans and was over 20 lbs of
living dynamite.

“Naw, don’t worry, I’ve handled worse in my 25 years as a vet” he said.....

“Doc, please be careful with him, we’re not kidding”

“Don’t worry” he said, “We know how to handle difficult animals”

We came back after lunch to get the kids and found the
parking lot almost empty. We opened the office door and
there was nobody inside. So we yelled for the Doc and
one of his staff came out and told us that all the afternoon
appointments had either been sent home or cancelled.

“Why? What happened” we said

“Some cat got loose, cleaned off everything that was on the shelves, all the equipment on the examination trolly, and took almost a half an hour to cage. Two of the staff went home with some pretty deep scratches and Doc and two of us are trying to get the place cleaned up.”

“Would you tell Doc that were here to pick up our dogs and cats?”

“Oh my god! Is that your cat?.

“Probably”

Doc entered the room...”Don’t you ever, ever bring that cat into this office again, ever” and he stormed out of the room.

We still laugh about that one!!

Oh that’s too funny! When will Vet’s listen to what we tell them rather than think they’re masters of the universe!

Might want to consider a tranquiler gun for that cat before his next visit..
