Yesterday it hit 119 in Thermal (2 small towns east of us)...when I walked out of the house to get the mail, the heat felt like it was burning my face.

Ahh, but it’s a dry heat. I lived in Phoenix for a number of years in my younger days . . . back when there was empty space between all the towns. I do remember how hot it can get there.
