My point is that he is missing credibility on the subject. One thing people won’t face in this country is that illegal immigration isn’t about border security. It’s about availability of jobs and benefits for illegals. Take those away and the tide will turn. It’s the same with the war on drugs. It isn’t about stopping drug trafficking. The solution is somewhere closer to eliminating the demand.
That’s every politician I’ve ever heard speak on the subject. Most of the FReepers too. When you start talking about putting wealthy business owners in prison for hiriing illegals, almost everybody shuts their pie-hole.
