You may well disagree with the meaning conveyed by that song, but that’s a whole different animal from the lyrics being inane and meaningless.
I think the song is ok up to the end. It is praising someone they love. But the message conveyed at the end saying that if something feels right it is right, is more destructive than inane meaningless phrases. The message is essentially what was said in the 60’s: if it feels good, do it. Turn off your brain. Act on emotion. Our society is still reaping the fallout from that philosophy.
