I agree that talking should be about accomplishing something, but that has its place in end-of-day conversations, too. Not everything has to be about work at that time. Mostly it’s nice to know there is someone to give you feedback.

I’ve been married almost 34 years now.
I got feedback to beat the band.
Most of it just to make my life better, you know.
(Don’t get me wrong. I love my wife. But you’d think after all this time she’d figure that I’m as good as I’m gonna get.)
Just to clarify, I don’t think any married man has an ego problem.
