The vice you need is out in the parking lot.
Make an arrangement to roll a vehicle's tire over the thing you want held down, and then lift up the thing you want to bend (and break).
You might need to "sandwich" the bar with a couple of thin pieces of wood, or anything that can help you define the break area. A brick or patio paver would work, but it might be difficult to get the vehicle perched on something too high.
Precision is offered by the score marks, but you have to get support close to the mark.
Thanks, Bob, but I don’t have the muscle mass for that, these days, and most of my neighbors are older and more infirm than I am. I will continue to look for a solution that is plausible for me.
The problem, I think, is that the scores are not deep enough to do much more than just mark the spot.
