Their noses are covered with soft, shiny fur until you get to the very end,
where they really are leathery. That’s why they look like patent leather.
When my immune system was compromised by the chemo drugs, the nasty
ones, I was forbidden to touch the cats or, horror of horrors! clean the cat box.
As usual my wonderful Bryan stepped right in an took care of business.
But I’m much better now, and they’re enjoying pets and scritches and tummy
rubs every day. Midnight in particular seems to love getting tummy rubs from
me. And he’s quite the gentleman with his claws when I’m petting him.
I’m so glad you are getting better. I had been really worried about you.
I know about the litter box from pregnant friends, didn’t know that for cancer patients but it makes sense. Not being able to touch your cats would have been like the worst medieval torture.
Congrats on the new kitties, I’m glad you and Bryan gave them forever home. Again, I’m sorry about Lucas.
