I posted another scifi short story on the blog:

Morning.
AWwww...
Awake early again. There is no sense lying in bed because all I do is think. That’s unacceptable. I think and I can’t function properly.
So here I am, even though I managed to read until after 2000. I was plagued with a bit of water retention yesterday, after that BLT I had on Monday. It tasted SOOO good but the bacon was SOOO loaded with sodium, I couldn’t eat enough salt to keep the fluid moving.
Today I will try to get the floors swept and maybe tomorrow I can get them mopped. And perhaps today is the day when I can work on the letter to that placement agent who is so concerned about his low-paid workers.
Good morning. Swimming lessons again today. I think we’re expecting Anoreth to arrive at some point, although when last heard from, she was hunkered down in a bar expecting tornados. My prayer group is having a potluck lunch today; I’m in the process of making grits casserole.
It’s just beginning to get light outside and on my patio, it’s 80 degrees, but the wind outside the fence feels like 75. I will head for Walmart in a few minutes and get some grocks and some batteries for my BP cuff.
The envelope should be there tomorrow or Friday. That is, based on LVs usual efficient best...the main PO is literally across the street from McCarran, and there is a tunnel street that goes under the runways. :o] No traffic tie-ups!
The plan so far is to do the floors today. Once I get them swept, I will have to give my back a rest before I can mop them. That letter is pretty mandatory at this point, I think. Mr Fred needs to know who his first allegiance should be to.
Are you sitting down? I got into a pair of “pedal pushers” this morning that are a size smaller that what I wore just last week! Slow but rewarding weight loss...
As it happens, I was sitting down ;-). Congratulations!
I plan to take a shower as soon as the grits for my casserole are finished. I left some ground beef out overnight and it smelled unhealthy this morning, there goes $10. I have to thaw some more and not forget about it this time.
We never got tunderstorms yesterday. This morning it’s a very pleasant 70 degrees aiming for a high of 85 with plenty of sunshine.
My youngest and her boyfriend came for dinner last night (late Father’s Day visit) and I dropped my middle child safely at JFK so she could take her trip to Colombia. Oldest is still AWOL.
And that’s the morning report, such as it is.
I had my shower yesterday afternoon, before I went to bed, so I will be good for a while today.
My shirt is a an XL T-shirt, but it is now loose on me. Oh gloriosky!
And now, I’m off to Walmart to approve of the remodeling progress so far. I will be glad when they are done!
So sorry. This place just does that to me sometimes.
Keep the kittehs calm and carry on.
It’s probably still about 76, though the thermometer is at 80 (protected from direct sunlight, wind and cooler temps) and the expected temp is 109. However, they have officially said the “M” word (monsoon) so the temps will be lower by six to 15 degrees and wetter. With lots of rain. For the next two months.
Remember though, our average rainfall is 3” a year! Honest!
I probably walked at least half a mile in Walmart, but the Fitbit didn’t pick up on that. I should have thunked it when I first put it on so it could sync with the computer. Now my entire day is going to be recorded with fewer calories burned and more calories consumed. Stupid gadget.
the sun is up, but ever since Sunday, I dread the days...less sunlight until December...
I’m glad you had a good Father’s Day visit with your daughters. My daughter didn’t invite me to breakfast with the rest of the family to celebrate Dad’s Day for her hubby, so I guess I only count on Mother’s Day, when she isn’t terminally ticked off at me.
I’ve had a lot of days like that in the last six weeks or so.
Ohyezzz...I almost forgot. Harry Reid wants to dispose of the current UNLV mascot of a Rebel soldier. This college chose the name Rebels because of their western independence and is not affiliated in any way with the South!
What a sad POS Reid is. I’m glad he’s stepping down. He’s dangerous.
And lest we forget, Harry Reid is a fellow human being, made in the image of God, and fully deserving of our respect and charity and positive assumptions about his purposes and motives.
<snirk>
Oh, bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I crack me up.
True on all counts about Harry Reid. And you crack ME up, too! LOL! (He IS the joke!)
OK. I’ll take it...
