The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.
We should get our Will redone. It’s been almost 13 years; it was made right after we moved here.
We’ll go to Walmart if Sally ever shows up. Bill has gone running.
My last Will was dated 20 July 2007. Time to change it.
So I will take time out to do it. One thing I will stress with He Who Should Not Be Named is to put his full name and social security number at the bottom of each page and to sign each sheet. That way, it’s harder to be forged/changed.
And that’s the TRUTH!!!
So I’m out of the way, waiting...
One is designed for Cat summoning the other for Vampire Castle siege work.
The Question is, which is which? :)
...and that’s why the lady got the trophy in the photo.
;>)
Cool, when does the trophy get here?
I have a will, but I can’t find my way.
I used Legal Zoom for my will. It was pretty easy and not very expensive.
I never thought of doing a will at Wal-Mart. That’s probably cheaper than Legal Zoom.
Just don’t die at Walmart: it would be Tacky.
If I’m standing at the $5 DVD bin I’m not sure anyone would notice.
There was a Will form that was actually free online, but it was designed more for married people with children at home, so I scrapped it and am now using my old Will for a template.
It’s pretty simple, and it’s what the JAG’s office on Davis-Monthan AFB used, years ago. I made a few changes to it when I got divorced, and had an attorney look it over to see if I needed to do anything different before it was witnessed and notarized. He said to sign the bottom off each page, add “End of Page...” to each page and put my SSN on each page above my signature.
So, since my Will was last done eight years ago, I figured it was time to do it again, as things have changed.
And I checked out several Will sites, and figured I would probably forget to cancel “the membership,” and they site(s) would try to take the money. I can’t afford that.
Now, the biggest hurdle is finding two witnesses and a Notary.
Yes, he needs an attorney. Please tell him to engage one if he hasn’t already. There are way too many ways for him to be burned if the estste isn’t handled properly.
As a side note, this is why people need to have a will-—to minimize this kind of family drama.
Be careful with online wills, not all of them are legally airtight. Have a lawyer look over yours.
for my brother I leave my ragged laptop with missing keys
for my sister I leave the $1.07 in change I had on me
for my nephew there is a half of a chocolate bar in the freezer
for my niece, I leave all my debt
every time I see the word Tacky I am going to think of the Wierd Al video
