The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.

I feel worn out this morning, because of the night, so I may have to take a nap in a while. My eyelids want to slam shut. The sun isn’t even up yet, and I want the day to be over so I can go back to bed. How sad is that?

We just stopped in to use the bathroom on the way from church to the gym. Bill isn’t up yet.
It’s only 6:00 there; you could go back to bed until 10:30 or so, like Bill!
There's good news then. I spotted an articule (I didn't click on it) that averred some college perfesser somewhere thinks we should recognize people who self-identify as vampires.
So you can claim that and probably get some protected status. Might even get that agency to send over someone who knows the vampire protocol. I would expect that vampires who root around during the daytime have symptoms similar to CFIDS.

Nah....I’ll stay up. I just get insomnia and sometimes it lasts for weeks. I don’t do well sleeping in the day time because there is so much I could be doing.
I went to Walmart to get a banker’s box (or two) and found a box of singles. The gal charged me $16.88 for the box and I told her there was no way. She refused to price it individually, as it was from a box of 10, so I let her keep it.
Then I couldn’t find my keys...I went back to the area where I would have put it down (waste baskets) and come to find out, they were hanging on the shopping cart handle...*sigh*
Anyway, that took care of the money I had left, so I won’t be going to Walmart for a while. Which is just as well...
I don’t exactly identify as a vampire, but some nights, it’s very difficult to sleep, as I can’t shut my brain off.
As far as the agency is concerned, I don’t trust that smarmy sob as far as I can throw him. He was still harping on “flexibility,” and when he gets here, I will tell him again that I am the one with the disability, and he is disrespecting me AND the disease by expecting me to act “normal.” I think he deals with mostly seniors who are still somewhat capable. He is beginning to irk me.

Back from the gym. Then we shower, lunch, and on and on. I could use a couple of days of Bill’s lifestyle ...
Yepper...the tagline is a real keeper! I figure if I can make other people laugh, my day is complete, and I can go to bed with a smile on my face, even if I have to deal with urined people.
I think I need a breathing treatment. The last few weeks have been pretty rough as far as breathing is concerned. I had to use the steroid last night. Today, it looks like I’ll be using the other two, off and on. I may be doing four treatments between now and the time I go to bed.
However, I would hate to see what I would endure without them...angina, elevated BP, trip to ER...yah...this is much better, thanks! ;o]
