The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.
I hope you get that surgery and get to a point when you can have a fur baby again!

I got the card! LOL! With no one beside Tom, it’s a little difficult to tell how tall he is, but he has definitely changed! And his hair is lighter!
This morning, I got my hair trimmed for $10 (Senior discounts apply) and will go to have my nails done tomorrow morning. The place in Walmart charges $19 for gels.
There is a little progress on the cleaning-sorting-filing caper, and I actually found a table in the dining area! (Fancy that!)
Yesterday, I managed to get some of the paperwork done for Ortho, but I still have to get the list of meds and copy them to the sheet. I guess they need to know what’s making me stagger. Hahahaha!
It’s on. Two days in hospital then home .
I’m very happy. Got a lot to do tonight to prepare. I have to sign off for awhile . Packing and what not.

Congrats on the cleaning and the haircut! We’re on a quest for the cat nail clippers. Shannon’s getting caught in the carpet when she walks.
I got the seeds today. I’ll have to find a pot for them.
We don't clip our poodle's nails any more. When we walk her outside we just hold her close and she grinds them down.
Maybe you could put Shannon on a table covered with sandpaper then play a recording of a group of hunting dogs going crazy.
It shouldn't take more than a couple of times to take care of her problem.
That would be fascinating, I’m sure.
Or you could sneak up behind her with a cucumber.
The hair looks nice. I just had her trim off the ugly stuff, and she did a very good job. It took her 15 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out.
Now I’m looking forward to getting my nails done. :o])
And once again, I’m having the chills, so I will go to bed early...like, as soon as I can shut this down and take some Ibuprofen.
