Poor kitty. I dislike cucumbers too. And pickles.

Probably not, but we just had a discussion on how DSNY is scrambling to make sure they can clean up after it.

Apparently those parades are a big mess.

If you give a mouse a cookie...

Which takes me back to the other day when the person asked my daughter if she had a minute for gay rights.

That mouse will be hungry for a long time.

I get a little tired of Ann’s shrieking sometimes, but I think she’s still popular. When those latinos protested her book signing the line seemed long.

What’s green, angry, and very dangerous.

A stampeeding herd of pickles.

Yeah, no.

Please offer the gift of the gif to Old Sarge. He will make better use of it.

You might mention to him that it "blows up" well without becoming pixilated.

Example:

On the other hand,

Seriously, I'm out of snark for the zottees.

I think Ann is a great analyst, but for some reason, she flips out at election time. I’ve been rereading “Godless: The Church of Liberalism.” It’s held up very well.

My library has the new book in; I just put in on reserve, but it will be some weeks before my turn.

Who leaves a cucumber lying in the middle of the floor?

I started to read one of Ann’s books several years ago and realized one sad fact: She had the same solution for every single problem she commented on. Each essay was the same as the last, though she used different words.

Then, as now, I think she is over-rated and I think she is famous because she wasn’t afraid to speak out. But there is no substance to her work. It doesn’t make one think or ponder or muse in any way because she points out everything step by step, as if she were talking to cretins.

Sorry, but I wasn’t impressed. I’m still not.

That would be my question...who does leave a cucumber on the floor...?

Speaking of floors, I need to do mine but I think it won’t be today.

I’d love to mop, but it can’t be done with all these people here.

After lunch, I’ll work on putting away things from the top of the tv cabinet. Many family members like to put their various items there and expect them to remain until ... whenever ... while complaining the house is cluttered.

I think it depends on which book. Some are more in-depth, and some are collections of syndicated columns.

The floors are bothering me, but not so much that I feel up to doing them. I’ve run out of steam.

I have several flat surfaces like the top of your TV cabinet. In fact, I’m sorely tempted to give away the table and just use wooden TV trays, as I seldom eat at the table any more. I have too many papers on it, and even though I clean it off, it still becomes a paper magnet.

Especially since Busdaddy went on his diet last year. I don’t even cook. The closest I get to cooking a meal is stuffing something in the microwave. *sigh*

I might have opened one of her syndicated column books, but at one point, I had three of the books, and in leafing through them after trying to wade through the first half of the first one I picked up, I kept seeing the same argument and the same solution.

So I took them back up to the library and left them for someone else.

One way to get people to pick up their own stuff is to take everything that isn’t where it belongs, put it in a 33 gal trash bag and put the bag out on the curb. Then tell everyone that’s where it is.

They should get the point.

To each his own.

I’d like to go to CPCC and pay Tom’s tuition, and to Walmart for milk, but I know that Kathleen will go in her diaper at the first opportunity, and I don’t want her to win!
