The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.
I had the pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang pock twang that says "Your hard drive is about to go Tango Uniform today."
That ‘today’ shouldn’t be inside the quotation marks.
Gee, thanks.
Floofy twins!,
Thank you Tax Chick.
My pre order of Ted Cruz’ book should come today, I’m giving it to my local library.
I just got the audio edition via Audible at midnight, so I’m going to be listening all day. He’s actually reading it.
I hope if he gets elected he puts a nice kitteh in the White House. We need a nice kitteh there.
More floofy! Oh life is good if you have floof.
These babies live in Turkey.
I’d go to Turkey to see them. In my dreams.
I wonder if cats in Turkey eat turkeys and gravy.
Leaving to go to the hospital for bloodwork tests. For pre surgery next week
Hate this. Boy do I hate those needles.
I will think of floofy kittens. Maybe that will help.
Present and accounted for. After a VERY sleepless night. I am really struggling with this thing. It seems I do OK for a day and then I begin to think, and that destroys all the progress I have made.
I can’t seem to focus on anything, and was hoping getting the papers organized would give me that focus, but that’s not going to happen until I can remedy the dilemma of the file drawer.
And that won’t happen until I have some disposable money. Maybe Friday. I will work on my budget today and that may help me for 15 minutes, anyway. The car thingy will have to wait.
Dang, I’m depressed.
Good luck! We have Frank’s swimming lesson again this morning.
I’m sorry you had a bad night.
I’m not starting the day with much gumption. I wanted some coffee, but I’m out of fake sugar.
I should try to get something useful done before we leave for the pool.
I looked up cfids.org last week to send the link to a great-niece, and they have changed the name so it doesn’t even reflect CFIDS at all. Instead, it has been lumped in with fibromyalgia and several other immune diseases, and I suppose that means they will get grant money, but it’s very confusing for people like me who had it when it was still called CFIDS/CFS.
The reply they sent told me everything except the answer to my question: Why did you lump it in with other diseases when it is a separate disease?
Now I have to add “ticked off” to “being depressed.” *sigh*
Ticked off is better for you.
I need to go cut up an apple for Kathleen, and then try to accomplish something - anything - before we leave.
At this point, I just don’t want to feel, but I can’t keep a buzz on forever. I need to be able to function, but even that’s hard.
Maybe I’ll double the dose of 5-HTP for a month and see if that helps. I can’t find a solution to this when my brain isn’t functioning properly.
PS: Two more pounds gone.
I cut Frank’s toenails. He experienced “tons of pain.”
Excellent!
