I defend the cops where it is due. I also bash them where appropriate. This guy was a bit too trigger-happy. At least the gun didn’t go off.
Each officer is different. But, at this rate, I’m not sure what to do anymore—cf. the APCs, small tanks, machine guns, &c. that the INS gives them.

There is SO MUCH MISINFORMATION being bandied about-—we FReepers should be above this and not participate in that effort by the progressives and race agendanistas. Please read this (see link below) analysis by Andrew Branca who is VERY knowledgeable about when the use of deadly force is justified.
By the way, any FReeper who possesses self-defense firearms (or knives or other weapons for that matter) would be well advised to read his material and/or attend one of his training seminars.
I absolutely disagree with you. Watch the two thug boys that came bounding up on the officer. One acted like he was going for the officers gun. It’s clear to me that they were the reason he pulled his gun.
Did you view the freeze frame sequence where he pulled his gun? Maybe you should. note the guy who came up and took a stance as if he was going to draw on the surrounded cop. When the cop drew the jackass fled. The cop then re-holstered his gun. “Trigger happy?” I think not
