His often expressed values and viewpoints are closely aligned with mine, too, and if only his votes followed. They don’t.
Until I read and understand the legislation and hear his explanation for myself I don't know how I would have voted. I won't drop Cruz in favor of another candidate solely because you and others might disagree with him.
That's why we have so many low-information voters that follow a party line and support people like Obama or Romney for that matter. It's easier to believe what someone tells them than to look at both sides and decide for themselves who best represents their interests.
Before I liked Cruz, I liked Walker. Before I liked Walker, I liked Palin. And I may decide to change my choice again if I find someone who better represents my values and viewpoints in the coming days. Whoever I support, I can't blame anybody but myself.
