This recurring thread reminds me of the Sodomites grasping for Lot's door. People cannot seem to move on. A Christian family dealing with "real sin", doing the best they can to point their kids to Jesus Christ and people cannot find it in their hearts to show empathy? Don't you think the girls who were abused are the best ones help us understand the event and the repercussions?

Jesus warned us about the last days saying, "...the love of many will grow cold". I would say these threads are a pretty good barometer of how close we are to the very end...
