Since it’s not a choice I made myself, I can’t say anything about it. I would observe that there’s a difference between “choosing to be single” and “making choices that result in ending up single.”
It seems that quite a few women end up permanently single, when that’s not really what they wanted, because they decided against pursuing marriage at the most probable time of life.
Is it possible to be happy when you are disabled?Is it possible to be happy if you have Down’s syndrome? Is it possible to be happy if you are born with one leg? Is it possible to be happy if you have cancer? Of course.
Given all these choices, I much rather be the spinster.
