Is this not rwlevant considering Hillary’s email scandal? A federal investigation has been requested for Walker’s “Pay to Play” WEDC payouts to campaign contributors. Only 19 million taxpayer dollars were given to companies owned by his supporters who then shipped jobs overseas.
I remember in the last presidential election, the powers that be ‘found’ dirt on all of the truly conservative candidates, one by one they fell, until we were left with Romney. Is this starting again with Jeb Bush?
“damned if you do, damned if you dont.”
Well, plenty of politicians manage to obey the laws without any problem, they aren’t that hard to follow. You can have your staff work on your campaign, but NOT while they are being paid to do government business. You can use private email for your campaign staff but NOT to conceal government business, or to conceal work done for your campaign using government resources.
Trying to equivocate on this in order to excuse Walker just makes us look just as scummy as the Democrats.
This is an old news story. The investigation and complicit news coverage is part of a legally dubious 5-year fishing expedition to indict Scott Walker conducted by a liberal Democrat Milwaukee County DA who is under fire right now for his repeated abuse of Wisconsin's John Doe law.
Nice try, troll. Go find another bridge!
Why are smearing Scott Walker with leftist Democrat lies?
People were convicted for this “trash”. It is illegal to conduct campaign business on state and county time.
Emails are also playing a part in the WEDC investigation that is ongoing. A federal investigation has been requested for “Pay to Play” violations discovered during an audit.
Do we not want to know if candidates are engaged in illegal activities? Aren’t we supposed to vet candidates, not put them on pedestals? If we don’t, we’re no better than Obama voters.
This is the kind of stuff that makes Ted Cruz supporters look childish.
Support your candidate. That's fine. But don't come over here with your failed Democratic talking points and try to piss all over a solid conservative, tested Governor that many here supported in the past and would have no problem voting for in the future.
Take this crap to DU. They're the ones concerned with Scott Walker's email. Here? Not so much.
Since the investigation was widened just before he took office, it has the odor of a partisan witchhunt (as the Dems in Texas launched against Tom DeLay, Kay Hutchinson, and Rick Perry).
Not proclaiming guilt or innocence, just highlighting the timing.
If the Democrats could count on those dogs’ vote in November they WOULD qualify for welfar.
This is real. People were convicted of crimes for this. Emails are a part of the ongoing investigation into Walker’s WEDC “Pay to Play” violations. No body is making anything up. A federal investigation has been requested. Are we going to act like Democrats because this is one of our guys?
“I’m pretty sure it would be illegal for Walker to have not had a separate (secret, really????) email for campaign business.”
The issue isn’t that he had a separate email, but that either he used that private email for state business (violates open records laws) or used that private email to conduct campaign business during the time he was being paid to do state business (probably not an issue for the Governor so much, but for the Governor’s staff).
It is against Federal law for administration officials to conduct business on Gmail. Is it illegal for Milwaukee County employees?
Yes. Don't gore the golden calf.
This hit-piece’s expiration date has long since passed.
What a piece of crapola this ‘investigation is
Just because Walker tells people not to use laptops or other devices DOES NOT MEAN he knows there is something on them.
God help everyone if you let a prosecutor like that run things.
I guess your not concerned about 19 million dollars of taxpayer money that the WEDC (created and Chaired by Walker),has paid out to Walker supporters. It’s called “Pay to Play” and is a violation of federal law. A federal investigation has been requested by auditors who discovered these violations.
Why don’t we just act like Democrats and maybe it will all go away. Or Maybe we could actually vet a candidate on some Facts.
I don’t thin the people charged in the email investigation, all of whom were convicted, think this is childish.
Was Walker one of them?....
This is witch-hunt coupled with some need to diminish a genuine conservative candidate (he's not my choice, though).
To even attempt to equate this with Hillary's actions is inexcusable in my opinion, especially from someone who is not supposed to be a Democrat machine robot.
If you want to talk about wrongdoing and degree of wrongdoing, why don't you find something about Dennie Hastert to talk about? Hiding behind this "we as conservatives have to do better, be better blah, blah" is a smokescreen in my opinion.
I'm writing off this thread just like the one before it where you posted the same stuff three times in the post talking about the same thing.
Actually you are spreading Democrat propaganda.
You violated sourcing policy.
You obfuscated the source to violate policy and post this tripe as an operative for the Dems.
The prosecutors conducting the investigation were from both Parties. The auditors currently investigating the WEDC “Pay to Play” are also nonpartisan. They are asking for the feds to step in. I figure they will wait to see if Walker is the nominee and then blow him out of the water.
